Built on a foundation of union strength
Since 1965, we've partnered with IBEW Local Union 1516 and NECA to deliver quality electrical apprenticeship training. Our commitment to excellence has shaped careers across Arkansas.
Four years to mastery
Full apprenticeship with on-the-job training and classroom instruction.

Apprenticeship Program
Interested in the Electrical Trade? The Jonesboro Electrical JATC has opportunities for those who are seeking a career as an electrician – inside wireman. We offer on-the-job training and related classroom instruction through our apprenticeship program which is a 4 year, 720-hour apprenticeship.

Pre-Apprenticeship
The Jonesboro Electrical JATC offers two different paths for High School Juniors and Seniors in our ten-county jurisdiction - a pre-apprenticeship program and the Interim Credentials program. Both programs offer an opportunity for students to learn core courses of the JEJATC first-year curriculum.
Decades of building skilled electricians
Our program has trained hundreds of apprentices since 1965. IBEW Local Union 1516 has grown from 25 charter members to over 420 today. That's the power of commitment to the craft.
